Hi, and welcome to the English section on my website! Since I want to offer my services to both Dutch and English speakers (knowing a lot of international students who suffer from stress and anxiety), I hereby provide some basic information. It is a summary of my services and how I work, please contact me if you are interested and I’ll be happy to explain everything you want to know.

Outdoor group sessions

Outdoor group sessions I offer in Dutch, so this is generally not applicable to English speakers. However, if you have a group of a minimum of four people I can arrange for a program in English. Contact me if you’re interested in this.

Starting off on a first ‘quiet’ walk, wasn’t sure what that entailed. We stopped for a moment… Babette said “close your eyes if you want, and just listen”…. immediately I was overwhelmed by the sounds of the wind, nearby birds and more, and totally forgot my mind’s worries of that moment. From then on our walk proceeded with short pauses and a poem every now and then about ‘silence’ being read to us…something meant to inspire further thoughts, and keep us in the here and now, as much as possible. The walk (under 5km) was a gripping experience and one that I hope to do again.

Individual coaching in case of stress, anxiety and/or burn-out

My motto is ‘when the body moves, the mind grooves.’ While coaching indoors can be very effective, I have found being outdoors really adds a positive effect to the coaching sessions. Therefore I offer outdoor coaching sessions of about 1.5 hours. We walk, but we also stop to reflect, to smell, to listen. Just being in nature already has a calming effect on the mind. This is great for people who suffer from stress.

However, I’m not there to just give tips and trics (one can find all of that online or in books too). I help to unravel what’s beneath the stress and anxiety. Often it’s certain lies that someone believes to be true (like: “I have to always perform well in order to be loved”. This leads to perfectionism and a lot of stress). Together we uncover these convictions and then restore balance. The method I use is the TriA© method. In three practical steps (Attention, Acceptance, Action) we move through the coaching sessions. It finds its basis in positive psychology and has been found to be very effective.

How I work

Practically, we start with a 45 minute walk to get to know each other and see if you feel comfortable with me as a coach. I ask questions to find out if I can help you and if we both feel positive, you can choose to either do one or more separate coaching sessions or to start an anti-stress trajectory. I offer two trajectories: a shorter and a longer one. The shorter one consists of four coaching sessions of 1.5 hours each. The longer one is 6 sessions.

The get-to-know-each-other walk costs 15 euro’s including a drink afterwards at the starting point (pancake restaurant Kernhem) in Ede (if you choose a different location I charge 0.40 cents per km from my address in Ede).

A separate session of 1.5 hours costs 65 euro’s including a drink and a mini notebook for writing down any insights or thoughts along the way.

The short trajectory costs 62.50 euro’s per session (250 euros in total). The first and last sessions we end with a drink and you receive a notebook at the start as well.

The long trajectory costs 60 euro’s per session (360 in total). The first and last sessions we end with a drink and you receive a notebook at the start as well.

All prices include VAT (taxes).
